Double bed
Brera Bed
Its lyre shape recall classical atmospheres in a moderate elegance, together with the extraordinary richness of the saddle leather and refined saddler’s stitching. Specifications: The load‐bearing frame is made in 3 different materials: the back is in 20 mm poplar plywood, the seat in elm heartwood and the arms in box‐type steel consisting of various laser‐contoured elements. The heartwood is seasoned “naturally” for at least three years in stacks on the company’s premises, while the metal parts are seam welded. Dap joints unite the various wooden parts of the frame with securing cylindrical dowels. The seat webbing consists of elastic polypropylene and natural latex belts in two sizes and with different elasticity. Belts 9 cm wide with 20% elasticity are fixed parallel to each other and perpendicularly to the length of Brera; these are alternately crossed by 5 cm wide belts with 80% elasticity. The framework is fully upholstered in leather and a layer of polyester wadding is fixed to the back to provide softness. The cushions are padded with sheets of resilient CFC‐free polyurethane foam with differing density (between 30 and 35 kg/m3), covered with bonded plush and polyester wadding. The back cushions are in “Tecnolat”, a mixture of 100% silicon‐coated hollow staple polyester and natural latex foam cut into small lozenge‐shaped pieces (this new material gives the same softness as feathers while having a “memory” effect, in other words, after pressure has been exerted on the cushion it automatically returns to its initial condition without having to plump it up manually). The steel supports are stove enamelled with epoxy powder paint and combined with a strip of leather that is not only for aesthetic purposes, but protects against scratches. The occasional tables in the collection have a load‐bearing frame in poplar heartwood and Esoflex for the curved parts, while all the visible part is covered in leather. The etched plate glass top rests on a surface made in melamine‐coated particleboard. The steel supports are stove enamelled with epoxy powder paint and combined with a strip of leather. The headboard of the bed is made of different materials: the base is in poplar heartwood, the sides are in melamine coated panel, the front and back are in esoflex multyply panel with a steel profile; the padding of the headbord consists of sheets of resilient, CFC‐free polyurethane foam (density 70 kg/m3). The lateral bends are made of melamine coated panels covered with saddle leather. These elements are fixed to a steel frame varnished with epoxy power paint black colour where lean a wooden slatted base. The supports are varnished with epoxy power paint silver colour with top covered in saddle leather.

About I 4 Mariani brand
The Company "i 4 MARIANI" is so called because of the 4 brothers Biagio, Tarcisio, Umberto and Emilio that established it on 1957; it is really a family operated company. Now, with the third generation coming soon, each member of the family contributes their own particular competence to provide a role in a well tested mechanism.
The 4 founding fathers - all still active in the Company - are assisted by their 8 daughters and sons; this unique family environment is also supported by important international designers. Since the foundation of the firm, i 4 Mariani has always offered furnishings of contemporary taste never being fashion-victims. The production is focused on two main families: products for the home such as sofas, armchairs, beds, dining chairs, shelf units, dining tables and low tables and products for the office such as desks, conference tables, cabinets, armchairs, drawers units, wall and equipped partitions. All these items are dedicated to everyone who loves comfort combined with the finest materials and finishing that are cared for down to the smallest detail with handicraft care, yet made to last without need of service for decades.
These characteristics of quality are guaranteed by a production process that is counter to that of most of the other companies. i 4 Mariani realize almost 100% of the production inside of the company, from the wooden to the steel frame, to the semi-finished, to the final upholstery and so on. For this reason, the Company is able to make constant and complete checks of quality during all the different phases of production, which results in very few complaints from customers after the sale.
The Company`s registered office is in Brianza, north of Milan - the area that has contributed most to the development of the Italian furnishing industry. The i 4 MARIANI group is today one of the most advanced industrial complex in this sector, with a production facility covering over 22,000 square meters.
State-of-the-art manufacturing technology plus a strong handicraft tradition - particularly noticeable in the leather upholstered items - make the Company products unmistakable in their essential design, durability and quality of working and finishes.
Thanks to these characteristics, the group is well-established in areas, such as the upholstered furnishing, the office and the contract sectors, that are highly sensitive to durable goods. Business with North-America, Asian and European Countries are nowadays consolidated since the late ’60 thanks to an appropriate organization and testify the solidity of the firm and the international taste of his production.
